Sean Souza
Founding Partner of CFO Solutions
Sean has eight years of consulting experience with public and privately held clients in industries including; biotechnology, manufacturing, distribution, insurance and professional services. Prior to working as consultant with CFO Solutions and Arthur Andersen, Sean spent three years as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.

Sean's experience includes business process analysis and re-engineering, conducting needs assessments and the selection, design and implementation of financial business intelligence systems. He has designed application training strategies and materials and conducted end user training conferences. Sean has conducted internal control reviews, finance department process and best practice assessments as well as planning & analysis evaluations. Sean has also assisted clients in the area of merger integration.

Sean graduated from Babson College and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.

Sean's relevant experience includes:
  • Creation of a Currency Hedge Management & Reporting tool. The project utilized the Infor MPC application to allow the client Treasury team to collect, manage, store and report global currency exposures. The system also allowed the recording of Hedge contract values used to offset any currency exposure.
  • Infor MPC implementation for the Animal Pharmaceutical operations of a major Global Pharmaceutical Company, focused on improving the timeliness and depth of information available from its budgeting and forecasting functions. Project included the development of training materials for a worldwide rollout to over 180 markets.
  • Infor MPC implementation for a major US Pharmaceutical Company. Project included the replacement of existing Hyperion Pillar budgeting system, use of advanced allocation formulas, business drivers, excel services in a multi model environment.
  • Assisted with Infor MPC implementation for a Southeast based Property & Casualty Insurance Company. Sean also conducted Administrator and View Manager User Training Courses for the Accounting & Finance Team.
  • Creation of an Actuals only reporting model for agent based reporting at a Mutual Insurance Company. This model was designed to facilitate transparent reporting and allocation calculations from a company subsystem.
  • Interaction with various management reporting systems, including Infor MPC on SQL Server,Oracle and AS, Cognos, HFM, Enterprise and Pillar, as well as multiple ERP packages. Provided services to various companies in the areas of process and reporting requirements analysis, consolidation and closing the books methodologies and financial chart of account design. Has conducted numerous best practices reviews.
